Inner Bitch

Here ya go, haven't done a Freebie kit tutorial in a while, hope to get at least one or two of these a month for ya!! I know times can be hard right now, so will try my hardest for everyone! Hope you enjoy and will be back with an awesome layout w/this kit also...so check back soon!!


This tutorial was written by me, Lori, on Jan 2, 2010.
And it was written for those who should already have a basic knowledge of working with PSP. I used Paint Shop Pro XI.

Supplies needed

Tube(s) of choice, I used the Artwork of Ismael Rac, you must purchase a license found here.
Tag template#139 by Beth of Blissfully Beth and can be found here.
FTU Scrapkit by Tamsin McAtee Studios called "Funky Town" No longer available.
Font of choice (I used HavixHmkBold)
Plugins: Xero; Eye Candy 4000
Mask of choice (optional)

Please remember to stop and save often.

Add drop shadow of choice as you go. Refer to my example as needed, merge layers down as needed to make things a little eaiser.

Let's Rock this Tutorial!!

Open the template in PSP, using your shortcut keys on your keyboard (SHIFT+D) duplicate the template as a new image. Close the original. Resize Canvas 800 x 800, you may crop and/or resize later.

Arrange both the BLUE HORIX RECT FRAME and BLACK HORIZ RECT layers to the bottom of the tag.

Open papers 15,16, 17 and19, resize to percentage seen in blue bar, example, I see 15% so I resize my paper to 15 percent.

Open paper15, copy and paste as new layer, arrange so it is below and inside the BLUE HORIX RECT FRAME . With your magic wand click inside the frame. Select-All-Float-Defloat-Invert and go to the paper15 layer and hit the delete key on the keyboad. Delete the BLACK HORIZ RECT.

Open frame2, resize to percentage in the blue bar, go to Images-Rotate left. Copy and paste as new layer, arrange above BLUE HORIX RECT FRAME and resize to fit. Delete the BLUE HORIX RECT FRAME.

Open paper16, copy and paste as new layer, arrange so it is below and inside the VERT BLUE RECT FRAME. Now, with your magic wand click inside the frame. Select-All-Float-Defloat-Invert and go to the paper16 layer and hit the delete key on the keyboad. Delete the BLACK VERT RECT.

Open frame1, resize to percentage in the blue bar, go to Images-Rotate left. Copy and paste as new layer, arrange above VERT BLUE RECT FRAMEand resize to fit.Delete the VERT BLUE RECT FRAME.

Open any one of the Star Frames from the kit, copy and paste as new layer, arrange below both rectangles and slightly to the left of the tag. With your magic wand, click inside the frame, copy, add new raster layer and paste paper17 inside selection. Arrange below the Star frame.

Go to RASTER1 layer, with your magic wand set to Selection-Circle draw out a large circle, add new raster layer copy and paste paper19 into selection. Make the RASTER1 layer active go to Selections-Invert and hit the delete key on keyboard. Select None. Make the first circle you made active. Set this layer to Lumanice(legacy), go to Layers-Merge down. arrange to the right. go to Layers-Duplicate, arrange just a lttile lower and to the left.

Go to the White Stripe layer, and paste paper19 as a new raster layer, you may need to resize so that the width is the same as the White Stripe. Selections-All-Float-Defloat-Invert. Hit delete key on keyboard. Delete White Stripe layer.

Go to the star layer, click on two stars with your magic wand, Selections-All-Float-Defloat. add new raster layer and paste paper17, add a fat black gradient glow. Do this with the other two stars, pasting paper19 inside the stars. Delete original stars layer.

Go to GETTING IN TOUCH WORD ART layer, Selections-All-Float-Defloat, add new raster layer and paste paper17, add a fat black gradient glow. Delete orginal GETTING IN TOUCH WORD ART layer.

Add elements of choice and arrange to liking.

Add first tube below the frame, go to the background, Selections-All-Float-Defloat-Invet, hit delete key on keyboard.

Go to Adjust-Hue and Saturation, Hue maps set to Neon Glow. Go to effects, Xero, Porcelain with these settings: 50-128-128-0-0-255. Go to Effects-Photo Effects-Time Machine set to the Box Camera.

Add a close up of the same tube. arrange so it's in the frame, but head sticking out. Go to Xero-Porcelain with these settings: 50-128-128-0-0-255.
Crop and resize as needed.

Add name using color #c3137d add fat black Gradient Glow. Add Copyright info, license and save!
