It's Christmas



This tutorial was written by me, Lori, on Dec. 5, 2009.
And it was written for those who should already have a basic knowledge of working with PSP. I used Paint Shop Pro XI

Supplies needed
Tube(s) of choice, I used Lix, you must purchase a license found here.
PTU Scrapkit by Crazed's Creations called "Christmas Magic" and can be found here.
Template #1 from Fiona which can be found at the Creative Misfits blog,here. The 4th set of templates.
Font of choice (I used Santa's Big Secret and Satisfaction)
Plugins: Xero

Please remember to stop and save often.
Add drop shadow of choice as you go. Refer to my example as needed

Let's Rock this Tutorial!!

Open Template, using your shortcut keys on your keyboard (SHIFT+D) duplicate the template as a new image. Close the original.

Go to grey rectangle, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Modify-expand by 2. Copy and paste a red paper into selection.

Go to black rectangle, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Modify-expand by 2. Copy and paste a green paper into selection.

Go to small text, color change to black.

Go to grey oval, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Modify-expand by 2. Copy and paste a green paper into selection.

Go to black rectangle, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Modify-expand by 2. Copy and paste a red paper into selection.

Go to left square background, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Modify-expand by 2. Copy and paste a green paper into selection.

Paste tube of choice arrange to liking to fit inside frame, Click on left square background with your magic wand, Selections-Modify-expand by 2, Selections-Invert, hit delete key on keyboard. Go to Effects~~>Plug Ins~~>Xero~~>Porcelain using these Settings: Softness: 50; Strength: 128; Brightness: 128; Red Channel: 0; Green Channel: 0; Blue Channel: 255. Set layer visiabilty to 70.
Go to left square frame, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Modify-expand by 1. Copy and paste a yellow paper into selection.

Go to right square background, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Modify-expand by 2. Copy and paste a green paper into selection.

Paste tube of choice arrange to liking to fit inside frame, Click on left square background with your magic wand, Selections-Modify-expand by 2, Selections-Invert, hit delete key on keyboard. Go to right square frame, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Modify-expand by 2. Copy and paste a green paper into selection.

Copy, resize and paste star element arrange above the picture frames, delete original star layer.

Copy, resize and paste, snowman and gingerbread house elements arrange at bottom of oval to liking.
Go to large text, recolor to liking and arrange as top layer and move just below the house and snowman.

Add tube of choice
Type in with Satisfaction font size 20, 'Hope yours is Merry' . Go to Image-free rotate to left 10 degrees and arrange to left of large text .

Add, Copyright info ~ license and save!
