Happy Haunting


This tutorial was written by me, Lori, on Sept. 14, 2009.
And it was written for those who should already have a basic knowledge of working with PSP. I used Paint Shop Pro XI
Do not copy this tutorial and post it through any group or claim it as your own. Please share a text link only.

Supplies needed
Tube(s) of choice, I used Joel Adams, you must purchase a license found here.
FTU Scrapkit by Kittz of Creative Misfits and can be found here. Just scroll down untill you see Kittz Scrapkit.
Template30 by Marcia of Babe's Designz No longer available
Font of choice (I used Charming)
Plugins: Eye Candy 4000, Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact, and Xero

Please remember to stop and save often.
Add drop shadow of choice as you go. Refer to my example as needed

Let's Rock this Tutorial!!

Open the template in PSP, using your shortcut keys on your keyboard (SHIFT+D) duplicate the template as a new image. Close the original.

Open papers 1, 6 and 7, resize as needed. Ex: when I look at the blue bar where it says what I opened, it tells me what percentage I'm viewing it at. For me it's 74% so I resize to 74% making it 100%. Minimize for later use.

Copy and paste paper7 as a new layer, bring right above layer1, you may want to resize the paper a little more to your liking. Go to layer1, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Invert, click on the layer with the paper and hit your delete key on your keyboard. Add Gridient Glow of choice, dropshadow of choice. Delete original layer.

Copy and paste paper1 as a new layer, bring right above layer2, you may want to resize the paper a little more to your liking. Go to layer2, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Invert, click on the layer with the paper and hit your delete key on your keyboard. Add Gridient Glow of choice, dropshadow of choice. Delete original layer.

Delete layer3.

Go to layer4, Select-All-Float-Defloat, go to your Floodfill tool, on your materials palette, click the foregroud and stroke properties and set to Foreground Gridient Angle-60 Repeats-12 and set the color to ef8208, on the background color set it to Black. Add new raster layer and Floodfill with the Gridient. Add Gridient Glow of choice, dropshadow of choice. Delete original layer.

Open element Spooky Spells book, copy and paste above layer5, Resize to liking and arrange to fit over bottom right square. Add any words of choice to the pages of the book. Open other elements Scary Pumpkin and Witch Cauldron, resize and arrange in front of Spooky Spells book.Open Sign Post and arrange behind Spell book.

 Open Haunted House copy and paste above the circle layer, resize to liking and arrange at bottom of circle. go to the circle, Select-All-Float-Defloat-Invert. go to the Haunted House, hit delete key on keyboard.

Copy and paste paper6 as a new layer, bring right above layer5, arrange so it will be over the top left square, you may want to resize the paper a little more to your liking. Go to layer2, with your magic wand click inside the top left square-Float-Defloat-Invert, click on the layer with the paper and hit your delete key on your keyboard. Go to Original layer-Selections-Invert-Modify-Contract by 8, hit delete key on your keyboard. Go to Selections-All-Float-Defloat and add new raster layer. Go to your Floodfill tool, on your materials palette, click the foregroud and stroke properties and set to Foreground Gridient Angle-90 Repeats-1 and set the color to ef8208, on the background color set it to #9551ab. Floodfill with the Gridient. Select none, delete original layer. Move frame above the paper layer, go to Alien Skin Eye Candy5 Impact, Bevel-Settings-Factory Default, click ok. Add Dropshadow of choice.

Add any other elements of choice.

Open tube of choice, arange to the left of tag, resize if needed. Go to Effects-Porcelian using these settings: 50-128-128-0-0-255.

Crop and resize to liking.

Add name, Copyright info and license and save!
