PSP Addict

This tutorial was written by me, Lori, on Jan 21, 2010.
And it was written for those who should already have a basic knowledge of working with PSP. I used Paint Shop Pro XI
Do not copy this tutorial and post it through any group or claim it as your own. Please share a text link only. If you use this tutorial please send me a copy of the tag you made with it to my e-mail to the left. I'd LOVE to see the creations and post into my slide show! Thank You!
Any resemblance to any other tutorial is strictly coincidental.

Supplies needed

Tube(s) of choice, I used the FTU Artwork of ©Popeye Wong, you can download his tubes here.
FTU Scrapkit by Nikki of Creative Intentionz called "At the office" and can be found here.
Tag template#29 of Babe's Designz no longer available
Font of choice (I used CK Penman, and ~Devil Inside)

Please remember to stop and save often.
Add drop shadow of choice as you go. Refer to my example as needed, merge layers down as needed to make things a little eaiser.

Let's Rock this Tutorial!!

Open the template in PSP, using your shortcut keys on your keyboard (SHIFT+D) duplicate the template as a new image. Close the original.

Open papers 1, 8, 9, 10 and 12, Minimize for later use.

Open 2 beads of choice, copy and paste as new layer, arrange them to line with the transmission bars, duplicate each layer and arrange at the bottom of transmission bars. Delete transmissions bar layer.

Go to Bars1 layer, Select-All-Float-Defloat. Add new raster layer, copy and paste paper 12 into selection. Delete original layer.

Go to Bars2 layer, Select-All-Float-Defloat. Add new raster layer, copy and paste paper 10 into selection. Delete original layer.

Go to Bars3 layer, Select-All-Float-Defloat. Add new raster layer, copy and paste paper 9 into selection. Delete original layer.

Go to layer 1, Select-All-Float-Defloat. Add new raster layer, copy and paste paper 8 into selection. Delete original layer.

Go to layer 2, Select-All-Float-Defloat. Add new raster layer, copy and paste paper 1 into selection. Delete original layer.

Go to layer 3, Select-All-Float-Defloat. Add new raster layer, copy and paste paper 10 into selection. Delete original layer.

Go to dot frame layer, Select-All-Float-Defloat. Add new raster layer, copy and paste paper 10 into selection. Delete original layer.

Open desk element paste as new layer and resize as needed, arrange to liking in middle of template to the bottom.

Open paper2 element paste as new layer and resize as needed, arrange to liking to the bottom left corner.

Open flowers 1, 2 and 3, paste as new layers and resize as needed, arrange to liking to the bottom left corner, above the paper.

Open paper3 element paste as new layer and resize as needed, arrange to liking to the top left corner.

Open clip element of choice, paste as new layer and resize as needed, arrange to liking to the top left corner so it fits over the paper. Carefully with your eraser tool, erase part of the clip so it looks like the paper cliped to the background.

Open pen of choice, paste as new layer and resize as needed, arrange to liking to the top left corner by the paper.

Add any other elements of choice.

Add tube of choice. If you use the one I did and do not want to use the laptop from the kit, you may stop here. Add copyright info, name and save.

If not continue on........

For the laptop:

Hit the PrtScr key on your key board, located above the Insert, Home, and Page up buttons.

Open laptop element, go to Edit-Paste as new layer, a copy of your computer screen will show up. Resize to fit in the screen on the laptop. Go to Edit-copy merged.

Go to the tag, Edit-paste as new layer and resize to fit on desk. If using the tube like I did, carefully erase the desk top from the tube, or Popeye Wong has other office tubes you may use...I just liked her better!

Add saying to the top paper and the clip paper on the desk if you added that element.

Add name, Copyright info, and save!

Thanks for Rocking Out my tutorial, I hope you enjoyed! ~Lori

Photobucket Thanks to Shani of Wicked Princess Scraps for the use of her kit, Strength In Me, a FTU kit to help raise awareness in testicular cancer. No matter what kind of cancer it is, if you love someone with cancer, be by their side and 'Love them through it'.
