Sweet as Candy



This tutorial was written by me, Lori, on Feb. 20, 2010.
And it was written for those who should already have a basic knowledge of working with PSP. I used Paint Shop Pro XI

Supplies needed
Tube(s) of choice, I used the Artwork of Myka Jelina, you must purchase a license found here.
PTU Scrapkit by Tamsin McAtee Studios from her collection called "Sour Central" No longer available.
Template by me and you can download here.
Wordart of choice, I used word art by Beth of Blissfully Beth and you can find it here.
Font of choice (I used Kingthings Wrote)
Please remember to stop and save often.
Add drop shadow of choice as you go. Refer to my example as needed, merge layers down as needed to make things a little eaiser.

Let's Rock this Tutorial!!

Open the template in PSP, using your shortcut keys on your keyboard (SHIFT+D) duplicate the template as a new image. Close the original. You will crop and/or resize later.

Open paper14, Copy and paste above Raster 1, set as an overlay. Go to Raster 1 and with your Change to target brush change the color to: #5898ca, set visiblity to 70.
Open paper1, copy and paste as a new layer, go to Selections-All-Modify-Contract by 10. Hit delete key on keyboard.
Open elements Glitters 1-4, copy and paste as new layers, arranging and resizing to fit to liking.
Open paper 14, copy and go to TopCircle and Select-All, add new raster layer, paste paper14 into selection. Go back to LgRecBackground, go to Selections-Invert hit delete key on keyboard. Delete original layer.

Open elements Glitter 2, copy and paste as new layer, arranging and resizing to fit on top of TopCircle.

Open paper 13, copy and go to BottomCircle and Select-All, add new raster layer, paste paper13 into selection. Go back to LgRecBackground, go to Selections-Invert hit delete key on keyboard. Delete original layer.

Open elements Glitter 4, copy and paste as new layer, arranging and resizing to fit on top of BottomCircle.

Open element Ribbon 3 and 4, copy and paste as new layer, arranging and resizing to fit on top of BottomCircle and glitter. Do the same with ribbons 1 and 2 but arranging on top of TopCircle and glitter.

Open paper 12, copy and go to LgRecBackground and Select-All, add new raster layer, paste paper12 into selection. Go back to LgRecBackground, go to Selections-Invert hit delete key on keyboard. Delete original layer.

Open elements Glitter 3, copy and paste as new layer, arranging and resizing to fit on top of LgRecBackground.

Open elements candies of choice, resize and arrange to liking above Glitte and LgRecBackground.

Open frame2, copy and paste as new layer, arranging and resizing to fit on top of LgRecBackground. Delete LgRecFrame.

Open paper 10, copy and go to SmrecBackgroun. Select-All, add new raster layer, paste paper10 into selection. Go back to SmRecBackground, go to Selections-Invert hit delete key on keyboard. Delete original layer.

Open elements Glitter 4, copy and paste as new layer, arranging and resizing to fit on top of SmrecBackgroun.

Open frame1, copy and paste as new layer, arranging and resizing to fit on top of SmRecBackground. Delete SmRecFrame.

Open Wordart of choice, arrange to fit inside of small frame, go to Selections-All-Float-Defloat. Add new raster layer, copy and paste paper1 into selection. Go to original wordart, Selections-All-Float-Defloat-Modify-Expand by 4 and flood fill with the color black. Add a small dropshadow.
Add tube of choice, arrange below the large frame, Duplicate layer, arrange this one above the frame, add dropshadow of choice. Carefully earse some of the top tube so that it looks like it's coming out of the frame.
Add any other elements of choice. Crop and resize entire image to liking.
Add name , Copyright info, license and save!
